2. Purposes of the Processing

WithEquus processes personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Managing user registrations (customers, riding centres and instructors).
  2. Providing digital intermediation services.
  3. Managing administrative and accounting obligations.
  4. Delivering customer service and technical support.
  5. Sending informational and marketing communications when explicit consent has been granted.
  6. Monitoring quality and improving the platform.
  7. Preventing fraud and complying with legal duties.
  8. Using image or promotional content when the user has accepted it.

3. Legal Bases

  • Performance of a contract: to manage the contractual relationship between WithEquus and registered users (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Compliance with legal obligations: covering tax, accounting, consumer and digital security duties (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
  • User consent: for marketing communications, image usage or non-essential processing (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).
  • Legitimate interest of WithEquus: to improve services, prevent fraud and guarantee transaction security (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

4. Categories of Personal Data

  • Identification data: name, surname, ID or tax number and date of birth. Providers may also share their trade name, company name or tax ID.
  • Contact data: telephone number, email address and postal address.
  • Professional and commercial data: riding centre name, specialty, services offered, schedules, prices and descriptions.
  • Financial data: partial payment information processed by Stripe. WithEquus never stores full card or bank details.
  • Technical data: IP address, device, operating system, approximate location, browsing history or reservations.
  • Image or branding data: photographs, videos, logos and promotional material supplied by the provider.

5. Source of the Data

  • Information provided directly by the user when registering or completing forms on the app or website.
  • Details received from Stripe relating to payment operations.
  • Public sources or social networks when the user links an account (for example Google, Facebook or Apple ID).

6. Data Sharing

WithEquus will not share personal data with third parties unless:

  • It is necessary to use service providers that operate the platform (Stripe, hosting, technical support, email marketing or CRM tools) acting as processors.
  • There is a legal obligation to inform public administrations, courts or law enforcement.
  • It is essential to exchange limited details between providers and users involved in a reservation to deliver the contracted service.

WithEquus does not carry out international data transfers outside the European Economic Area without ensuring the safeguards required by law.

7. Retention Periods

  • For as long as the user keeps their WithEquus account active.
  • For the limitation periods established by tax, accounting or civil liability regulations (usually five years).
  • Marketing data will be kept until the user withdraws consent.

Once the statutory periods expire, data will be blocked and securely deleted.

8. User Rights

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability and consent withdrawal at any time.

Requests must be sent to administracion@withequus.com together with proof of identity. If the user disagrees with the outcome, they can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

9. Security Measures

WithEquus applies technical and organisational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal data. These include password and communication encryption (HTTPS/SSL), secure backups, access controls, activity logs and confidentiality agreements with staff and suppliers.

While reasonable safeguards are in place, no system is completely secure and WithEquus cannot guarantee absolute invulnerability against attacks or unlawful access.

10. Commercial Communications

WithEquus may send electronic communications about its services under Article 21 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act when a prior contractual relationship exists. Users can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each communication or by emailing administracion@withequus.com.

11. Minors

Minors under 16 are not permitted to register or contract services without the explicit consent of their parents or legal guardians. WithEquus may request documentation at any time.

12. Changes to the Policy

WithEquus reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy. Users will be notified through visible messages in the app or via email. Changes take effect 15 days after publication unless a different period is required by law.

13. Acceptance

Using the WithEquus – The Horsing App platform implies full acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Users are encouraged to review it regularly.
